Student Information

High School carries high expectations for students. In my classroom I have high expectations for each student's behaviors as well. The classroom environment has to be respectful to everyone. It is my job as a teacher to ensure that the learning environment is safe and suitable for learning. Stating that I expect every student to be respectful to me and each other, be prepared to work, never give up, and be honest.


Materials needed for class:

  • Colored pencils
  • Earbuds for chromebook
  • Pencil (for math)
  • Writing utensil (pencil or pen)

Classroom Rules

  • Do things that will not prevent me from teaching, nor you from learning.
  • Respect yourself, me, peers, and your school.
  • Be responsible.
  • Be honest, admit your mistakes and make better choices next time.
  • Listen, do not talk while I am talking.
  • No food or drinks
  • No cell phones

Consequences

  • 1st offense: Verbal warning
  • 2nd offense: Conference with student
  • 3rd offense: Complete a behavior reflection
  • 4th offense: Contact parents
  • 5th offense: Detention and phone call to parents
  • 6th offense: Written Referral and phone call to parents
  • Any significant offenses will be immediately reported to an administrator


Technology Procedures

    • Devices will remain under the desk until given permission to use.
    • All unnecessary apps and tabs should be closed, only the app assigned by the teacher will be opened.
    • No liquids or food near the device.
    • Charge devices at home. The classroom is a no charge zone. Students will be a desktop computer if the device is not charged.
    • No audio. Students must use earbuds when listening to assignments.
    • No games or social media on devices at anytime.
