The Khan Academy
Stuck on a homework assignment? Forgot your book? Maybe you're just curious about a math topic you've heard about, but haven't learned yet! Come to the Khan Academy, where you can watch videos, listen to a lesson and work out exercises to help those tricky concepts stick!
The site is free, and you can look up anything math related! A Google email account is necessary if you would like the site to keep track of your progress. Get parent/ guardian permission before you give an email address!
Open Middle -Solve and Create Challenging Word Problems
Open Middle is the website to enhance your problem solving skills, and utilize the strategies that we use in class. There is more than one way to solve a problem, but one does need to be organized and reflective of the steps used to get to the solution. Open Middle also provides you the opportunity to post a problem you created for others around the country (!) to solve. ENJOY :)
