“I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn’t be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.” – Roald Dahl

My name is Jennifer Faust and I am thrilled to be your child's reading teacher this year!  I am a graduate of The Florida State University and this is my 21st  year at Robert E. Cashion and my 27th year teaching.  I have experience in ages K4 through 3rd grade.  I can honestly say that I LOVE my job!

My husband and I have been happily married for 21 years. We have two beautiful children.  Katie is 20 and a junior at Furman University.  Go, Paladins!    Our son, Caleb, is 18 and plays lacrosse for Coker University.  I am proud to say both children are “graduates” of Robert E. Cashion Elementary.

We have a German Shorthair Pointer/lab mix named Maggie and a yellow lab named Georgia.  We have two Maine Coon cats (Macy and Maverick).    They are all rescues and my husband says we are done taking in strays. Ha!  He’s probably right.  :)

I spend my extra time boating, swimming, reading, and watching football!  I pull for the Seminoles, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Boston Red Sox. Don’t hold it against me. :)  I have an obsession with cows and with my horse background, I'm trying to convince my husband to buy a farm for us to live on.  Wish me luck.

I LOVE my job and I am so proud to work at Robert E. Cashion Elementary School. The BEST place for children!
