About the Rocky Mountain Atelier
The Rocky Mountain Atelier (RMA) of the Traditional Martinist Order (TMO) was established in 1980 as, first, a committee of the Rocky Mountain Lodge, AMORC, and later as an independent affiliated body although maintaining its close relationship with the Lodge (which eventually became a Pronaos). Rocky Mountain Atelier was originally organized as a Septum, then as a Heptad, and later as an Atelier as administrative and size dependent designations came into being. When Rocky Mountain Pronaos merged with Columbine Pronaos to become Mountain Rose Pronaos, Rocky Mountain Atelier moved its association to the new Pronaos.
The purpose of the Rocky Mountain Atelier, TMO, is to provide an environment in which the TMO member can experience and cultivate within him or herself the high ideals of Martinism. To accomplish this, the Atelier provides all of the degree initiations of the TMO, presents the full teachings of the TMO, and enlarges understanding of these through in-depth discussion among the class members. The Atelier allows the student to experience the sacred setting of a true Martinist temple, and to participate in the brotherhood of people of like mind.
The Rocky Mountain Atelier, TMO operates on the Weekend Intensive basis for the benefit of those who travel great distances to attend. Under this system each degree class meets once each quarter on a weekend for an all-day session where we study up to three lessons.
