FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pirate Princess?

Pirate Princess is a group of select young ladies at Cedar Creek High School that have been mentored with care by our school's female teachers. Princesses receive lessons in fund raising, service to the community, citizenship, self-esteem, social etiquette, health, career planning and life-skills. The opportunity is open to young women across various cultural and ethnic backgrounds of Cedar Creek High School.

What is this Fundraiser for?

The funds raised from the tea party are used to fund the mentoring program. The school does not provide funding to run the program, therefore we hold fundraisers to pay for transportation, speakers, workshops, and other expenses needed to run the program. The biggest expense comes from the end of year cotillion. It cost around $5,000 for 20+ girls to attend.

Can I get Tea Party tickets at the door?

No, unfortunately we sell out every year online and in previous years little girls have been turned away at the door. It is heartbreaking to see a little princess dressed and excited and due to limited space we have to turn her away. While we can't predict if we will have space left on the day of the event we rather limited the sales to online purchases to avoid hurt feelings. Tickets will be available online up until the start of the event at 11:00 am. If tickets are available you will be able to purchase them the morning of the event.

Will my child be with her favorite princess?

Yes, at the time of purchase you will be able to select which princess/character your child will be with. If that princess group is full the option will no longer be available. Each Princess may have up to 10 girls in a group. If you have a group of girls please register early to ensure they are all in the same group.

Can I arrive after 10:30?

No, The Tea Party schedule would have already started and there will be no refund. However the Vendor Mall will be open until 4:00 p.m.

Can I drop my child off and leave?

No, you must stay in the building at all times. In case of emergency we will page you over loud speaker. All children in attendance must have an adult on premise the entire day. NO EXCEPTIONS

How can I get discounted tickets?

Purchase tickets early. (Before March 15th) On March 16th tickets are regular price so buy early and save.

Can I bring additional family and friends?

Yes, the more the merrier. Each adult ticket is only $5.00. Make it a family fun day or a Girls Day Out. We now have a station for the boys so bring brother, cousin, and nephew too. It is plenty to do for everyone.

Will my child be safe traveling with her favorite Character?

Yes, each student has been trained to ensure your child's happiness and safety. You do not have to travel to each station with your child unless they are under 5 or special needs. We want you to be able to enjoy the vendors and move freely so please do not feel obligated to go station to station. Some of the stations get pretty congested, so take advantage of all the different adult activities, however you are not allowed to leave the building.

Why did the Price increase from last year?

Due to increasing cost to run this event and all the new and improved activities we had to go up in cost. We increase ticket prices to maintain a good quality event. We have more characters, better costumes, more crafts, and better food options. Please keep in mind this is a fundraiser for a very important program and without your support the Pirate Princess program would cease to exist. In the past we made just enough to cover expenses to run the event.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No, but it is easier and quicker to check you in with a paper copy.

What if I lose my paper ticket?

You may use you phone or go to the Lost ticket line.

What time should I arrive?

Doors open at 9:00 am. At that time you will be checked in.

What if I need to leave early?

In order to enjoy each station you will need to stay until 2:30. We know it is a long day, before purchasing tickets see the schedule tab. You may want to select a Princess based on their schedule to ensure your princess hits the stations that are most important to them before you leave. We do have a shortened schedule ticket that is offered for Pre-schoolers and Special Need children, but space is limited.

Do I need to pay for my child who is under the age of 2?

No, they will not be charged and may travel to the different stations with adult supervision only. They will not be apart of the 10 girls assigned to each princess. You can purchase lunch for them from any of the food vendors, however they will not be allowed to participate in the carriage ride, craft station, or beauty room.

Who do I contact if I have issues?

Please contact Program director Danielle Maddrey with any issues concerning students. For praise reports, testimonials, or to give one of our students a pat on the back for good service contact the student program director Luis Pagan. Contact info can be found on the Contact Tab.

How long is each station?

Each station is 30 minutes and this includes traveling time to get from one station to the next.
