About Pirate Princess

More than a school club, it is a way of life!

Pirate Princess is a girls mentoring program dedicated to educating, empowering, and equipping girls through hard work, dedication, and self-discipline.

Objective: To empower high school girls with the training to be successful at Cedar Creek, and thrive in all future endeavors. The opportunity is open to young women across various cultural and ethnic backgrounds of Cedar Creek High School. Once girls signup and register they attend meetings twice a month and complete weekly task and assignments online. They have clear objectives that they must reach in order complete the program. The girls in the program will be monitored academically, socially, developmentally, and emotionally for growth and improvement. The girls complete the program at their own rate. At the end of the school year the girls will have a cotillion/ graduation ceremony. Once the girls complete the program they move up a level and may be selected to be a Princess Big Sister and mentor the next set of girls.

Some Topics we cover:

  • Self Esteem
  • Being a Lady: Etiquette and Maturity
  • Beauty Break: Fashion, Hygiene, and Skin and Hair Care.
  • Anger Management and Violence
  • Social Life: Friendships and Relationships
  • Girl’s Health: Nutrition, Drugs, Sex, and Puberty
  • Education and Setting Goals

The money we raise from this Tea Party helps to keep this program running. This is our biggest fundraiser and the funds go toward materials and supplies needed to run the various workshops and seminars, the snacks and beverages they receive at every meeting, activities and guest speakers, and above all it helps with the cost of the girl's Cotillion which serves as a graduation/coming out ceremony to the girls who have successfully completed the program.
