DEWITT AUDITORIUM TECH WORKERS NEEDED - Do you love theatre, music, or live events? DeWitt Auditorium is looking for hardworking, reliable students to join our crew! Learn hands-on skills in lighting, sound, stage management, and more. Be part of shows, concerts, and events that happen on our stage. No experience needed. We will train you. Money! PARKING: Attention all students who drive to school: If you park in a handicapped spot you will be issued a ticket by Officer DeJong. You will also lose all parking privileges for the remainder of the school year. If you park in a guest spot your parking privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the school year. REPORTING SYSTEM: Both Zeeland East and Zeeland West have created an email account to report any incident involving hate speech, racism, bullying, or other types of derogatory language. If you hear or experience something that falls under this category, please report the incident by email to hsreport@zps.org. Administrators will follow up within 48 hours.
CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE INFO: The ZPS Device Insurance Program deadline to sign up is October 31st. Please click on the information flyer to get started on the link provided. APPOINTMENTS: Students leaving during the school day for an appointment must check their email for a pass from the Attendance office. All passes are sent by email after receiving a call to the attendance line from a parent. Please watch your email for a pass if you know you will be leaving during the day.
PARKING PASSES: All cars parked in the East and West parking lots must have a visible parking pass. Permit applications are available in both the offices. Reminder: No driving your car with your parking pass between schools between hours. Cars are to stay parked in one parking lot.

NOTES FROM THE COUNSELING OFFICE
26-27 CTC Info Meeting: The counseling office will host a Careerline Tech Center info meeting during Advisory on Friday, January 9 in the DeWitt Auditorium at Zeeland East. This meeting is open to current 10th and 11th graders only. Students interested in learning more about CTC and the process for applying to their programs for next year must complete this registration form by Thursday, January 8 at noon. Only students who register will be allowed to attend. Please contact your counselor if you have any questions. PLEASE NOTE: This meeting and application process are not intended for juniors who are currently at CTC and desire to return next year. The intent to return process is handled directly by CTC.
Seniors/Senior Parents: The 2026–27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is NOW AVAILABLE. Submitting the FAFSA is the first step to getting student grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities, and loans for post-secondary education. It also helps determine eligibility for most state aid programs, like the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, which can cover up to $27,500 for college. Please follow the steps outlined in this letter for more details.
Seniors/Senior Parents: The application for the OVER 60 scholarships available to ZHS students through the Holland/Zeeland Community Foundation is NOW OPEN! There is ONE application to be considered for most all of the scholarships. The deadline to apply is February 1. Check out this graphic for more details.

Seniors/Senior Parents: Do you plan to fill out the FAFSA, but need some help? GRCC Lakeshore is hosting a FAFSA event on February 19 from 3-6 p.m. at the GRCC Lakeshore Campus in Holland. Financial Aid representatives will be on hand to assist anyone who wants to complete the FAFSA application. This is a drop-in style event, and you do not need to have applied to GRCC to attend.
Seniors: The State of Michigan is offering online information sessions for students and parents to learn more about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship Program, valued at up to $5500/year for 5 years for Michigan high school graduates who continue their educational training in-state. Scholarship opportunities are available for both two and four year colleges, as well as career training. Seniors and families looking for help paying for college are encouraged to register for a virtual financial aid presentation provided by MI Student Aid. Participants will be able to gather information on the following financial aid topics: FAFSA application information, federal financial aid programs, state financial aid programs, scholarship search resources. Chix Baseball
There will be a Zeeland East Baseball meeting for players on Friday this week 12/12. We have a half day of school on this day and will hold the meeting immediately following dismissal. The meeting will take place in room 93 right next to the main gym @ 11am. The meeting should take only about 15 minutes. If a player needs to ride the bus home and cannot attend the meeting, please just make sure they come see Coach Sattler sometime this week in order to get all of the information you need about all of our winter training opportunities.
