Materials Degradation and Stabilization Laboratory

This research laboratory is primarily focused on degradation studies of petroleum products, chemicals, and polymeric materials for remediation oil/ chemical spill disasters, in waste treatment, and in evaluation of shelf-life of materials. Stabilization studies are also considered for enhancing the shelf-life of materials. Facilities are available for conducting experiments via thermal, UV, and bio/ enzymatic degradation mechanisms.
