Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is an engaging educational program designed to introduce students to the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on learning experiences. It offers a variety of modules and activities that focus on different aspects of STEM fields, such as computer science, engineering, robotics and biomedical science. PLTW aims to spark students' curiosity, build their problem-solving skills, and prepare them for future academic and career opportunities in STEM disciplines. It's a great way for middle schoolers to explore their interests and gain practical, real-world knowledge early on.

Mr. Murphy, 5th and 6th Grade PLTW Educator
With over two decades of experience in education, including the past seven years at ZWEST, I am dedicated to fostering STEM education through Project Lead The Way (PLTW). As a STEM facilitator, I engage students in challenging design projects such as Medical Detectives and Design and Modeling. Our journey is centered on hands-on learning, emphasizing creative and critical thinking through the ENGINEERING DESIGN PROCESS and 21st century skills. I inspire students to embrace Positive Risk-Taking, set ambitious goals, and achieve personal growth and success.
