Gifted & Talented
Zapata ISD provides students identified as gifted and/or talented with a rigorous and differentiated curriculum regardless of the campus they attend. Research has shown that gifted/talented youth need the added challenge that a more advanced curriculum will provide to remain engaged in classwork.
Students who qualify for the Gifted and Talented Program will receive appropriate G/T services at any campus from specially-trained teachers.
Students(elementary level) receiving Gifted and Talented services will meet with their teachers via Google Meet and will be completing assignments on Learning.com.

The Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP) comprises a set of performance standards, curricula, and assessments for differentiating instruction and deepening academic learning. TPSP enhances gifted/talented (G/T) programs from kindergarten through high school.

Visit the Kahn Academy for lessons in math, science, and humanities from kindergarten through the early years of college. Students can engage in exercises, quizzes, and instructional videos to learn and master skills. They will get immediate feedback and encouragement.
