Mrs. Kelly Regnier, Director/Producer, ITS Troupe 1987 Sponsor
Mrs. Regnier has been directing plays at District 126 since 1998. Currently, she directs the fall play and the spring musical and mentors the student directors. She also coordinates with Mr. Kazmi and Ms. Rickert as part of the annual Holiday Showcase. Mrs. Regnier's goal is to continually challenge herself and her students to create theatre that excites, educates, and entertains audiences. She also serves on the 2026 Illinois High School Theatre Festival Committee. When she is not on stage or grading essays, she loves attending
Mr. Warren Regnier, Technical Director, Fall Play, Holiday Showcase, Student Directed One Acts
Mr. Regnier currently serves as the Technical Director for Zion Benton District 126, where he oversees the design and execution of all technical aspects for three of the four shows each season. He is passionate about teaching, building, and sharing tech theatre tips with his students. Mr. Regnier thrives on the collaborative nature of theatre, where various disciplines come together to create a meaningful experience for the audience. He takes great pride in ensuring that every element runs smoothly for the director. In his free time, Mr. Regnier enjoys coaching softball, camping, carpentry, and spending quality time with his family.
Mr. Steven Angelos, Sound & Lights, Media Club Sponsor
Mr. Angelos has been the Sound Director at the ZB Performing Arts Center since 2021. He oversees all aspects of audio/visual design, from microphone placement to cueing, and projection. Additionally, as the sponsor of ZB Media, he mentors students in photography, videography, graphic design, and livestreaming. While currently focused on technical theater and digital media, Mr. Angelos secretly hopes that one day Mrs. Regnier will cast him in a play.
Ms. Karralinn Regnier, Assistant Director
Ms. Regnier is the Assistant Director for all four shows. She has spent her life performing on various stages, both in plays and ballets. A veteran of the Milwaukee Ballet School, she appeared with the company in the Nutcracker, La Boheme, and Romeo & Juliet. She more recently spent time choreographing for her sorority at the University of South Alabama and as the assistant Choreographer for Shrek. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Applied Psychology at the Chicago Professional School of Psychology. In her spare time, she loves being with her family, traveling, and fashion.
Mrs. Jennifer Rickert, Vocal Director, Spring Musical, ZB Choir Director
Mrs. Rickert is the Director of Choirs at Zion-Benton Township High School. She directs five curricular choirs: Beginning Treble Choir, Concert Choir, ZBE Choir, Advanced Treble Choir, and Chamber Singers. As the vocal director, Mrs. Rickert coordinates with Mrs. Regnier during the spring musical as well as the annual Holiday Spectacular. In addition, she directs the extracurricular ensembles Jazz Voices and ZB Acapella. She is an active accompanist in her area and a former piano instructor of the Zion Conservatory of Music. She is a member of ILMEA and ACDA. As a graduate of ZBTHS, Jennifer Rickert is proud to live, work, and serve in the Zion-Benton community.
Ms. Katie Pierce, Instrumental Director, Spring Musical, Asst. ZB Band Director
Miss Pierce is the Music Teacher and Beginning Band Director at Zion Benton Township High School. Her course load includes beginning band, beginning piano, mixed-level guitar, music production, and ELS music. Miss Pierce was the instrumental music director for Mean Girls and Shrek: The Musical. Miss Pierce assists Mr. Kazmi with the ZB Band program and is the faculty advisor for the ZB Orchestra. Musicals are her passion, and she is always looking forward to the next show!
