With 15 stops across Saskatchewan of almost entirely sold out Covid safe drag shows we were able to raise over $8000 for local prides and queer organizations. Not only that, but we were also proud to have found a way to safely bring the community together during such a difficult time.
This show brought in over $500 for Prairie Harm Reduction in Saskatoon.
Though Jiggly Caliente wasn't able to make it to this show, we still were able to showcase the talents of Beth from Canadas Drag Race season 1. On top of that we donated $500 to the Saskatoon Sexual Assault Information Centre.
In partnership with Outsaskatoon, this show was run in line with their research and education project looking at queer youth experiencing homelessness. This show raised $1500 for Outsaskatoons Trans Care Fund to help trans folks transition.
Some of our performer members have been participating in Nutrien Wonderhubs Storyscapes program. This involves reading to children and discussing the importance of being yourself at an age appropriate level. This does not directly donate to any charity, however we feel the impact it has on parents and youth alike was important to mention.
