Meet the RESET Team
Helane has been with RESET for almost a year. What inspired her to join the YWCA RESET program is her love for YWCA's vision and mission, as well as her passion for making a difference in people's lives—especially for women from diverse backgrounds. As a case manager, Helane strives to be a positive role model for diverse young women, offering educational and financial resources to help them become self-sufficient and empowered. Her goal is to ensure they have a secure future for themselves and their children. What she enjoys most about being a case manager is assisting unique young women who strive to make a difference in their lives with a little guidance. She finds it rewarding to witness their transformation as they explore all the opportunities they can achieve.
A fun fact about Helane: she comes from a large family, and they have their own gospel choir—and even have a CD!
Alexis (who prefers to go by Lex) has been part of the YWCA team for 2 years and joined RESET because she is passionate about empowering young women. She strives to provide guidance and resources to help them become self-sufficient, successful, and break generational cycles.
Fun fact about Lex: is a former RESET participant herself and now has her own little zoo at home
—1 dog and 6 cats!
Mary Angel is a graduate student intern currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Our Lady of the Lake University. She chose to complete her internship with the YWCA San Antonio RESET program because she was inspired by its mission. Mary is passionate about helping young women find their voice through empowerment.
Fun Fact: Mary loves spending quality time with her mother watching horror movies, enjoying wrestling, and attending concerts together.

Natalia I have been working at the YWCA for 3 years. What inspires me most about working at the YWCA is its mission—I am passionate about empowering other women, helping them grow, and becoming their best selves.
As the Manager of the RESET Program, I understand how important it is to truly listen to and appreciate each client’s story. By doing so, we can provide the right support and guidance. It is also crucial to help those in higher leadership positions see firsthand how deeply the mission impacts every client in a positive way. My favorite part of the RESET Program is witnessing the lasting impact it has on our clients. Over 350 young women have either started a career or completed a career pathway through our program. Many have successfully overcome significant barriers, opening doors to new opportunities and a brighter future.
A fun fact about me: I love getting in my car, rolling the windows down, and blasting music while I drive. It helps me reconnect with nature and with myself.

Brittany has been with the YWCA RESET program for two years. What inspired her to join RESET was her previous experience working with a nonprofit that partnered with YWCA Oklahoma City. She truly admired YWCA’s mission and the impact of its work. So, when she moved to San Antonio, she was eager to be part of the YWCA in any capacity. When she discovered the RESET program, it felt like the perfect fit—a way to continue advocating for women and supporting their journeys. One of her favorite parts of goal-setting with clients is helping them understand that their goals are entirely their own—they are in control. She believes in empowering clients to recognize every achievement, no matter how small because every step forward is worth celebrating.
A fun fact about Brittany: she loves reading and playing video games!
