I grew up in a Christian family and first encountered God at a young age, later choosing to be baptised and commit my life to Him at 14. But by 16, I began searching for fulfilment outside of God, turning to drugs, alcohol, and unhealthy relationships, believing they would satisfy me. For two years, I lived in that cycle, eventually dropping out of college and spiraling into emptiness and depression. Nothing I pursued could fill my heart. On August 6th, 2025, I reached my lowest point and went out with the intention of ending my life. In that moment, I cried out to God, asking if He was real. Instantly, He answered me through a simple but powerful reminder placed right in front of me: “Jesus Loves You.” In my brokenness, I decided that if I didn’t want my life, I would give it to someone who did—and that was the moment I surrendered everything to Jesus.
From there, my journey of restoration began. Although I still struggled at times, God called me to leave behind my old life and step out in faith to attend a Discipleship Training School in Hong Kong with YWAM GATEWAY—despite having no money and only two weeks to prepare. Miraculously, everything came together just days before it began. I arrived carrying shame, insecurity, and a sense of unworthiness, but throughout DTS, God completely transformed my life. He replaced my emptiness with joy, my shame with identity, and my brokenness with purpose. He gave me a community that draws me closer to Him, friends I had always prayed for, and a deeper understanding of His love, grace, and mercy.
Today, I know who I am in Christ. God has called me to work with children and youth, and to use my passion for music and worship to glorify Him and make Him known. I am so thankful for everything He has done in my life and for every person who has supported and prayed for me along the way—this journey is living proof that God saves, restores, and gives new purpose to anyone who turns to Him.
