Eli Hurwitz

District Librarian

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.

-Benjamin Franklin

This will be my 19th year teaching. In that time I have taught in Dayton Public Schools and here in Yellow Springs. I have been both a high school English Teacher and a school librarian. Before that I have been a butcher, a baker, and a candlestick-maker (all true stories). I am a poet, an artist, a musician, a political activist, and a union member. I am a father, a friend, and a husband. I love being out doors. I love riding bicycles on the road or in the woods. I love dogs and currently have three. I love to read. I am currently reading: Getting to Yes. I am sure I am missing a lot of things that I love to do, but mostly I love to help.
