What is Call of the wild?

Call of the wild is based in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National parc. In call of the wild you can do loads of fun and exiting actvities. For example you can do gorge walking, climbing, team building, quad biking and much more. You stay in a old farm house at the begnning of the Brecon mountain. And it is also very close to Swansea.

If you live near Cearphilly castle it takes about one hour to drive there. The journey takes you through Swansea to the beginning of Brecon. In my opinion I think it was a fun journey to get there.

In my opinion I think the acomodation was very good seen as it was a barn about fifty years ago. There are 2 massive rooms up stairs (one for the boys and one for the girs) were we all stayed in. Exepet the teachers who had a seprate room. Down stairs there were two bathrooms, two racks to put your shoes on and a dining\ film room. And there's also a staff room that your not allowed to go in.

Our first activity was lots of games based around team building activities. There was about five team building exercises but there was only time for three of them. Our first activity was a crate stacking exercise. You have to stack the crates above each other so the two people on the harnes could clime up the crates. Our second exercise was a race on giant skies. There were five people on each pare of skies and you had to reach the end the quickest, but it was very, very hard. And our third and final exercise was a obstacle course. We each did the obstacle course two times. The first time we did it we had to count how many times we touched the floor and tell the adviser how many times we touched the floor. The second time we had to do the exact same but we needed to hold each other all the time we were doing the course.

The food

The food in Call of the wild is ok (in my opinion). Other people thought that the food was terrible but I thought it was ok.

Night walking up a mountain

The second activity was walking up a mountain in complete darkness. We needed to bring a torch with us because we could not see with out them. It took about twenty to half an hour (I think). At the top there was a shelter from the wind, it worked very well scene as it was made out of only rocks. I didn't like it that much I just wanted to get back as soon as possible, but it was ok.
