The Space LGBTQ Youth Center
The Space is a special gathering place for Yakima-area Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer and Questioning and allied youth between the ages of 13 and 23. Here, youth can feel safe and connect with peers and resources.
At The Space, youth can do homework, have a snack, check email, play games, enjoy the craft room and participate in scheduled activities. Behavioral Health appointments can also be made. The Space is staffed by Neighborhood Health staff and trained volunteers.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11-3 p.m. on Saturdays.
If you know of an LGBTQ youth who is couch surfing, experiencing bullying, skipping class to avoid harassment, let them know about The Space. For more information, call 509.574.4216.

Rod's House is a resource for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and housing instability. We believe ALL YOUNG PEOPLE deserve support and the chance to succeed.
Rod's House is a resource center for homeless and at-risk youth ages 13-24. We offer immediate needs care by providing a hot meal, food and hygiene, pantry, a clothing bank and laundry facilities. Rod's House helps youth to exit homelessness and to reach their full potential by assisting them with educational and employment opportunities. Rod's House also provides a safe environment free from drugs, violence and gang activity.

Yakima Pride, located in Yakima, Washington, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and its partners through educational events, entertainment, community outreach, and celebrations of diversity. Yakima Pride produces each year Rainbow Prom, Pride Day At The Fair and the Yakima Pride Festival & Parade in Central Washington, one of the fastest growing Pride events in Washington State, plus a variety of educational and community events throughout the year.
