About the Teacher

Hello everyone!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rosa Ortega. I’m originally from New York and earned my Bachelor of Science from Manhattan College, followed by a Master of Education from Western Governors University. I have been teaching for about six years, and for the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of the YSCP family, working with students in grades 2, 4, and 5. I was also a Spanish teacher for grades 2-3 and 6-8. I also have the privilege of overseeing our school’s PBIS system.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and baby, listening to podcasts, and playing soccer. I am so excited to get to know each of my students this year and to share a year full of learning, growth, and fun!
