It was supposed to be Tournament Day, but many groups needed more time to finish their builds. Those who did finish decided to stage an impromptu pit fight on the tournament stage. Let's see who created the sturdiest build!

Students are modifying their base robot builds to be able to pull objects around. Their goal is to win in a tug-of-war tournament against other teams!

All school staff work hard to make eye-catching displays and other projects. Equipment in the Makerspace helps us take these creations to the next level. See the Cricut as it writes and cuts cardstock to create shamrock-shaped tags for grab bags.

Students can exchange a Terrier gold card for a free 3D printed or laser cut object. See the Glowforge engrave and cut a keychain requested by a student!

For Literacy Week, January 23-27 2023, Language Arts students at Port Charlotte Middle School had the opportunity to chat with Fleur Bradley. Bradley is the author of 2022 SSYRA winner Midnight at the Barclay Hotel, Daybreak on Raven Island, and the Double Vision series. Bradley joined us for a virtual visit and shared some tips and tricks for writing fiction, after which she took questions from students.
