TOYS!
Any props
A camera (can be cell phone or tablet, any camera will work)
Before you start, take a look at toy photography tool-box. This will be the foundation of making your toy photography come to life!
Gather up toys and develop a plan for your pictures. This is going to depend on what type of toys you have. Ask your self:
What is the subject of this picture? (the main focus toy)
Will this picture tell a story?
What is going to be going on the background? Is it interacting with its environment?
Can I use forced perspective to make my subject look bigger than its actual size?
When taking your picture with a phone, remember to tap screen on the subject to adjust the focus on your subject. Also, you can use portrait mode for some cool different effects.
Have a parent or guardian send your picture to Mrs. Roebuck at megan.roebuck@yourcharlotteschools.net.
Alternative- Cubs, if you are not able to take a picture of your toys in action, draw a picture of them!
All subjects appear their actual size.
Making one subject look bigger than it actually is by having it SUPER close to the camera.
This is the actual size, without forced perspective or a low angle.
