Hi There, I'm Fatma El Mahdi.
Interested in Software Development | Systems & Backend Focus | Open to Junior Roles & Internships. :)
Junior Software Developer | Systems & Backend Focus (Tech. industry) | Senior Project Manager (Localization industry)
I’m at an early stage in the tech world, building strong foundations in systems programming and backend development while continuing to grow across industries.
For 7.5 years, I worked in Translation & Localization, managing projects, leading cross-regional teams, structuring workflows, and ensuring high-quality delivery. That experience strengthened my ownership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills - strengths I now apply to software development.
Technically, I’m building from the ground up. I’m learning and practicing C, Python, Unix systems, data structures, digital logic, and core backend concepts. My focus is hands-on work: building a simple UNIX shell in C, implementing a hardware half-adder, and continuously expanding my understanding of low-level programming and system behavior. I learn by building, testing, breaking, and improving.
My primary technical interest is in systems and embedded-related development, while remaining open to backend roles where I can contribute, learn fast, and grow under real-world constraints.
I’m not positioning myself as highly experienced yet, I’m deliberate, disciplined, and building depth step by step.
This portfolio reflects that progress and will continue evolving with more systems projects and practical experiments.
Alongside my technical path, I am available for Localization Engineer roles within the localization industry, and I remain open to strong and meaningful Project Manager opportunities.
