Robotics Club

For 2023-2024 School Year:

Please check the club bulletin board outside the cafeteria for the first meeting date. The information posted below may not be updated yet.

The Robotics Club teaches students about engineering and computer science, including: programming, robot design, and robotic competition strategy.  We are promoting STEM and a drive to solve problems. We have purchased a robotics kit and licenses for Robot C, a programming language that is a variation to C. Students are exposed to TETRIX pieces, and they learn about how to maintain proper care for the hardware. Most of all, students are able to enjoy using their imagination to create the robot or a part of the robot: such as an arm, shovel, or fork lift, or they can write code to make the robot perform certain actions. Our ultimate goal, as a team, is to enter the local FTC competition and compete with other teams in scrimmages. We will only be practicing for the competition on mock-obstacles for this FTC season, but hopefully in the near future, we will be participating in the actual FTC competition!
