This work depicts my childhood experience in Shanghai, where my friend and I used a Slinky toy as a pretend telephone, sharing secrets on the steps outside my home. The warm tones and simple setting reflect the purity of childhood friendships. I hope this piece captures the nostalgia of fleeting yet precious moments.

The piece is more about color than anything. Art can be so colorful when you let it be. The figure itself is nothing special, but the variety of color is what made this piece interesting to me.

I originally made this for a project and cut it out to trace around it. I was really happy with how the drawing itself turned out so I kept it after the project was completed.

What started the painting was that I had been doodling a little ghost and wanted to paint them. Then when I was going through my canvases and found my circle canvas and I new that I need to paint a fish eye. The rest was just planning what the ghost would be doing and the scenery around them

This is a charcoal and pastel piece of plastic swans. I chose to focus on these swans because of the unique composition. A small amount of color is used to highlight the edges agains the water that it is in.

This was a painting of my favorite animal from my first art class at York, which I took this year.

This drawing is truly important to me because I drew it on a plane to New York City and gave it to Christy Altomare, who hugged me and posted a photo of it on her Instagram. One of the most memorable and happiest moments of my life :)

This painting is a glimpse into one of my earliest memories—me, just a little girl in a red dress, clutching a bunch of balloons like they could lift me into the sky. I remember how heavy the sunlight felt on my skin, how the wind tugged gently at the ribbons, and how everything around me seemed soft and golden. The background is hazy on purpose, like how old memories blur at the edges. I painted this to hold onto that fleeting feeling of being small, free, and completely at peace in a world that felt so big and full of possibility.

He is my favorite Russian singer and composer, leading the band “Kino”. His music is very reflective to the Russian society then, of various of social problems and conflict, such as Russo-Afghanistan war and big shifts on the political direction. The musics provide a unique vibe of the political turmoil happened in late USSR era, bringing you back to the collapse of this massive red empire.
