The York Conference on Conversation Analysis (YorCCA) is a CA conference organised by PhD researchers at the University of York and affiliated with the Centre for Advanced Studies in Language and Communication (CASLC). The conference aims to provide a welcoming environment for PhD researchers to present their work to fellow PhD researchers and established academics and to receive feedback and advice as they develop their projects. Our hope is that YorCCA will contribute to the academic and professional development of PhD researchers in CA.
This years conference will take place on Friday 17th July 2026, and will feature two invited speakers alongside presentations from PhD researchers. The presentations will be delivered in person and also streamed online for those who can not attend in person.
For PhD researchers who attend in person, optional CA skills workshops led by the invited speakers will be held the following morning, on Saturday 18th July 2026.
