The Yorkshire Language Teaching Research and Scholarship (YLTRS) Network is an open forum to share knowledge, reflect, and learn from each other, presenting work in progress, as well as successful and unsuccessful projects. Submissions are welcome for talks, workshops and papers on a range of subjects, including, but not restricted to:
Autonomous learning and motivation
Development of professional skills
Innovation
Assessment
Inclusivity (gender, identity, language representation)
Anxiety and mental health issues in HE
Material/ classroom design and activities for neurodiverse students
Artificial Intelligence and digital technology
Digital accessibility
Diversifying/ decolonising the curriculum, i.e. language variation, accents, dialects, heritage languages, inclusive content, etc.
Practices in translation and interpreting
Writing successful funding applications
Residence Abroad/ Year Abroad
IWLP
Paper/Project Presentations
Interactive Workshops
Please read the guidelines below carefully and use this Google form to share your proposal for a session.
Each presentation should be limited to 15 minutes, allowing 10 minutes for Q&A and discussion at the end.
The interactive workshop should be scheduled for 55 minutes, to allow for classroom changes.
All abstracts must be written in English as sessions will be in English too.
Abstracts must not include derogatory or defamatory content.Â
Any materials included in the abstracts must not transgress any copyright legislation.
