Google Street View covers the paths within Museum Gardens, and allows you to see inside the museum itself! You can take a look at the Google Street View of the museum/gardens to help you plan your route.
When you arrive at the Yorkshire Museum. Please enter via the main entrance using the steps or the ramp. You need to visit the information desk to sign in. Let the visitor experience team know that you are here to take part in the workshop and they will help you to sign in and direct you to the room.
The workshop will take place in the Fairfax room, the room can be accessed through a door to the left of the reception desk (as you face it). You can use Google Street View to take a look inside the room.

Refreshments will be provided, they will be available at the begining of the workshop and in the break. Refreshments include:

Decaf Tea
Coffee

Milk, Oat Milk and Soya Milk for adding to hot drinks
White and Brown Sugar for adding to hot drinks
Fruit and Herbal Teas
Water
Biscuits (including Biscuits free from gluten, milk and eggs)
Bananas
Paper cups will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own cup. You are also welcome to bring your own drink or snack. If you are bringing your own snack, please make sure it does not contain any nuts.
In-person participants are able to claim travel expenses for the journey from your home, to the Yorkshire Museum, and back. If you have travelled by car, you can claim expenses for mileage and parking (provided you have a ticket/receipt). If you have travelled bus or taxi you can claim back the cost of the journey provided you have a ticket/receipt. If you have travelled by rail, you can claim back the cost of a standard class ticket provided you have a receipt. You will be reimbursed by BACS bank transfer.
You will need to fill out the expenses claim form and send it to the lead researcher jess.schofield@york.ac.uk. Unfortunately this form is not in an accessible format. We will have paper copies of the form available at the workshops and we will be available to help you to fill out the form either on paper or online.
