Dr. Xiaolan Liu is a lecturer (assistant professor) of AI for networks in Smart Internet at school of School of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, and BDFI at University of Bristol. She was a Lecturer at Loughborough University from 2021-2024. She was a research associate in KCL from August 2020 to July 2021, and she received her PhD degree from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in July 2021. Her current research interests include distributed learning in networks, multi-agent reinforcement learning in edge computing, intelligent spectrum management, and trustworthy AI. She has published more than 30 Journal and Conference papers in these areas with the H-index of 20. She is a member of IEEE, IEEE Communication Society and IEEE Women in Engineering. She serves as the editor for IEEE Network Magazine and IEEE Wireless Communication Letters. She served as the symposium co-chair for IEEE ICC 2025, the workshop TPC co-chair for IEEE WCNC2023. She serves as the publicity officer for IEEE WIE UK&I.
Dr. Jiadong Yu is currently an Assistant Professor of IoT Thrust at HKUST (Guangzhou). She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom, in 2021. During the same year, she served as a Teaching Fellow at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science within the same university. Since November 2021, she has been with the Internet of Things Thrust at HKUST (Guangzhou), where she held the position of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow until 2023. Concurrently, in 2023, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Engineering. Dr. Yu actively contributes to the academic community, serving as a regular journal reviewer for multiple journals (e.g., IEEE JSAC, IEEE Communication Magazine, IEEE Network, IEEE TWC, IEEE TMC, etc.). She served as symposium co-chair for IEEE GLOBECOM 2025, IEEE ICCC 2025, IEEE VTC 2025 Spring, and IEEE ICC 2023. She received the Excellent Reviewer award in 2022 and 2023 for IEEE TNSE. Her current research pursuits focus on the fields of Multi-agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL), edge intelligence, as well as Digital Twin technologies.
Dr. Zihang Song is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie research fellow at Connectivity (CNT) section, Department of Electronic Devices, Aalborg University, Denmark. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Beihang University, China in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Systems from the University of Surrey, UK, in 2023. He was a research associate at King's College London, UK from 2023 to 2025. His research spans physical layer signal processing for wireless communication systems, machine learning, neuromorphic computing, with a focus on developing fast and energy-efficient solutions for next-generation networks. He served as session chairs for IEEE ICCC 2025, SPAWC 2024 and AICAS 2024, TPC co-chair of IEEE INFOCOM 2025/2026, ICCC 2025, and workshop co-chair for VTC 2026 Spring.
Dr. Marios Aristodemou is a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science in University York working under the UK RAi keystone project Participatory Harm Auditing Workbenches & Methodologies (PHAWM). He received his M.Eng degree and the Ph.D degree in Security of Artificial Intelligence from Loughborough University in 2021 and 2025 respectivelly. Prior to joining University of York, Marios was a research assistant in Loughborough Unviersity for various projects in Wireless Communications and Cyber Security, applying distributed learning and reinforcement learning. His research interests include the secured application of Artificial Intelligence in Communications, including topics such as the security and trustworthiness, privacy-preservation, personalised distributed learning, and lifelong learning. Dr. Marios is actively contributing to the research society, through serving as a journal reviewr in IEEE TIFS, IEEE Journal of IoT, IEEE Network, IEEE JSAC, IEEE TAI and Top-tier AI Conference such as AAAI and NeurIPS.
