Departmental facilities

Staff offices

Departmental staff are located within two buildings on campus, Seebohm Rowntree and ARRC, both of which are situated within Alcuin College. Teaching occurs across the University campus and online: if your research training includes modules offered by the Department and University then details will be provided through your timetable.

PGR office space

The Department offers a dedicated workspace for PGRs in ATB/273, which is on the second floor of the Seebohm Rowntree building (see floor plan).

The space currently offers:

• • • 9 workstations - these are large, clear desks with office chairs

    • A drop-in system - if there’s a spare desk, you can use it without needing to book

    • Office hours access - the door to the room is not locked and the corridor is unlocked during standard office hours (8am - 6pm)

    • Bookcases for shared items only, such as books or stationery

    • Breakout spaces with different seating and circular tables

We want to continue to improve this space as time and money allows. Please use the PGR Workspace suggestion form to let us know what else you would like to see in the space.  You can also talk to the Graduate Chair or your Student Reps about how the space can be improved.
