Student experiences

Daniel, Management, Year Abroad 2016/17

“For me, one of the big differences was the teaching style here in Taiwan. They seem to be focused on intensive 3 hour long classes (with a couple of 10 minute breaks in between) and they are very much trying to prepare students for exams. The exam process here is different compared to the UK. In the UK, where we may have exams during January and towards the end of the year, at NCCU they have multiple exams throughout each semester. The idea of true midterm exams was new to me and in some classes I have already had 3 exams for them within 3 months!” “Overall, it has been a fun experience to fully understand the Taiwanese way of learning and I have enjoyed being a part of it.”
