One thing to look out for next time you are out and about in Leeds
The Owl is the symbol of Leeds and they are scattered all across the city if you look hard enough. They are on buildings, signs, lampposts and many more. The impression above is from Leeds Bridge. Keep an eye out for them whenever you are in the city - you will need to be owl-eyed though!
Just by walking around where we live we can discover lots about what life was like for people in the past. Looking at buildings and, statues and streets can all help historians to better understand what might have changed or stayed the same. Luckily for you, Leeds has lots of historical places to discover.
