The University of York uses Google Gmail for email.
It can be difficult to access Gmail in some countries, so you need to make sure you can still get your university email at home. You can do this by setting up automatic forwarding to another account that you know you can access at home (this means that Gmail will send automatically any emails that come to your university Gmail account to another email account).
Follow instructions on the Google Help Site to set up automatic forwarding. To see the information you need, click 'Turn automatic forwarding on or off'. You can change the language at the bottom of the page (many available), or choose your language from the list below.
