This is a collaborative list of resources for members of network. It is hosted on the university’s Leganto reading lists system. Everyone is invited to contribute items or whole new sections/topics.
The list is currently a skeleton, and nothing about its organisation is set in stone. We need you to contribute your favourite publications and other resources...
If you would like to add items or start a new section, either:
Send the material to emily.worthington@york.ac.uk. Please send a .ris file or a direct link to the YorSearch entry for the item(s) where possible.
Or:
Ask Emily or Ollie to be added as a collaborator, so that you can directly edit the list and add items from your own Yorsearch account.
Any texts or resources you have found particularly inspiring or helpful are welcomed. However, in order to keep the list navigable, we would suggest that less is more. Thus, it is preferable to include one key text by an influential writer rather than their whole output; or a good introductory/overview piece rather than every publication in a particular area.
It would be particularly helpful to have:
Key texts from your area
Publications that provide a helpful overview or 'way into' the literature of your field
You are also strongly encouraged to provide a short description or review of items or sections to help colleagues from other disciplines navigate the literature and terminology.
PLEASE NOTE: if you are editing the list directly, the reading list tags 'Essential', 'Background', 'Recommended' etc are designed for teaching-linked lists to trigger purchase and digitisation by the library. Please be careful when using these!
If you teach at the University and have a module reading list that you would like to make available to colleagues, you can do this directly through the Leganto reading lists system.
When you publish the list, select ‘Also publish the list to students’ and then change the default from ‘Module student’ to ‘Anyone’. This should make the list appear in searches. To share the list directly, use the share icon at the top to generate a shareable link.
If you have already published your list, you seem to have to un-publish and then re-publish it to access these options. This didn’t cause any issues for us when we tried it but please report if you find a better way!
