Oct: Amy and Surabhi presented a talk at the Biology Postdoc Symposium, University of York.
Sept: Amy presented a talk titled 'Tracing the prehistory of wheat in Europe' at the Green Planet Day, University of York.
Aug: Nathan attended ISBA11 in Turin, Italy.
July: Amy presented a talk and a poster at IWGP in Groningen, the Netherlands.
June: Amy travelled to Albania to take samples for ancient DNA analyses from a trench profile from the site Lin 3, Lake Ohrid.
June: Amy travelled to Basel, Switzerland to collect archived plant remains for ancient DNA analysis. Read more.
June: The Hidden Frontiers team organised an outreach activity for kids at the York Festival of Ideas (Making Waves). Read more.
June: Surabhi participated in the Soapbox Science session at York and spoke about how plant DNA can help us answer important evolutionary questions.
May: Prof Kevin Walsh has retired and is now Professor Emeritus!
May: Amy and Surabhi presented a talk titled 'Hidden Frontiers: Crop histories within the prehistoric Alpine lake dwellings' at the Leverhume Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity forum, University of York.
March: Surabhi presented a talk at NorthernBUG 14, University of Huddersfield.
February: The Hidden Frontiers team hosted Franziska Follmann, a visiting researcher from the German Archaeological Institute, Berlin.
January: Surabhi joined the Hidden Frontiers team!
