Public events

Funding awarded as part of the Community Heritage Council Grant Scheme has enabled a permanent exhibition of panels detailing H|A|R|P's findings to date, including a replica adze, at the Heritage Centre, Hermitage, Co Limerick.

February 2017, the H|A|R|P team gave a public lecture to a full house at the local Community Centre at Castleconnell. Given the level of interest and enthusiasm from the local community of Hermitage, we will be returning for another public lecture at the end of the 2018 field season.

September 2017, H|A|R|P team members, Tracy Collins and Aimée Little, were invited to give a public talk as part Archaeology Ireland's 30th anniversary. Invited speakers were chosen to present their research on sites that have "changed our view of Ireland's past": a wonderful testimony of how important Hermitage is to Ireland's heritage.

As PI of H|A|R|P Aimée Little was invited to present a talk on Hermitage as part of celebration of grants awarded under the University of York's 'Culture and Communication' Research Theme.

February 2018, Tracy Collins presented a talk on our work at Hermitage to University College Cork's Department of Archaeology.

November 2018, Aimée Little presented H|A|R|P research to the Dept. of Archaeology, University of Glasgow
