Starting at university is all about finding your feet. To help you settle in and get your bearings, we’ve put together two self-guided campus trails across Campus West and Campus East.
Whether you’re looking to meet important student support services, want to find out more about the facilities around campus, or a quiet spot to step away from the Welcome Week bustle, the trails cover the essential places and people you need to know as you begin at the University of York.
The Campus West trail starts at Greg's Place and loops around Scullion's Lake. The trail takes roughly an hour to walk, but remember to factor in time to speak with all of our wonderful teams.
The Campus East trail starts at the Ron Cooke Hub and follows a circular loop around Campus East. Scan the QR codes to find out about the different stories behind the colleges on Campus East and to see what is happening during Welcome Week. The trail takes roughly forty minutes to complete.
Both trails have Quiet Spaces that are open to all students whenever you need a low-sensory environment or a peaceful spot away from the crowd.
Not sure where to start? Use our directions page to make your way to the start point of both trails from your college.
