This project is organised by two PhD candidates in the Department of History of Art, University of York.


Francesca Curtis

Francesca's research focuses on the ocean in contemporary art. Inquiring into and beyond visibility, she looks into contemporary ecological theories to consider how relationality operates at the limitations of sensorial access. She also holds an MA and BA in History of Art from the University of York.

Louise Yu-jui Yang

Louise's research focuses on developments of aesthetics related to craft in the context of international arts and crafts movements. Her project explores practices and influences through non-European objects in art history. She holds MAs in History and Philosophy of Art from the University of Kent and Museum Studies from Taipei National University of Art.
