Integration into university life is an element of your learning and personal development. The programme team have structured your programme to enhance this where possible by integrating your learning where possible with other nursing events; Out of Character group sessions, provision of a half day before or after simulated practice learning to participate in campus life and sports, opportunities to join NurSoc and represent the university at wider regional events.
The Midwifery Society is a student-run society for the Department of Health Sciences' midwifery students to help them have the best experience while at university. The Midwifery Society acts to::
arrange study days for student midwives and those interested in midwifery, pregnancy and birth.
enable student midwives from all cohorts to socialize as well as involving others who may be interested in pursuing midwifery as a second degree.
provide peer support to those on clinical placement.
fund-raise for relevant charities.
