The Award Gap Research Project
Student Survey
Student Survey
The University is committed to addressing gaps in continuation, progression and award across the diversity of our student cohorts at any stage in the student lifecycle and will act to close such gaps where they appear.
The University of York’s Access and Participation Plan (2020-21 to 2024-25) outlines the university's targets for reducing its gaps in degree outcomes. Whilst the statistics tell us there are gaps for certain groups of students, it does not tell us why. The Award Gap research project has been examining why gaps in degree outcomes exist at York, aiming to uncover the potential barriers to our students' success.
To help us do this, we would like to hear about undergraduate students’ experiences of learning, teaching and assessment at the University of York. See below for information on how to participate in Stage 1 of the research project. (See here for Stage 2 Staff Survey)
Stage 1 of this research project is a student Survey. This will be followed by a staff Survey (Stage 2) and a series of qualitative discussion events (Stage 3) during late spring and early summer. Stage 4 - a longitudinal study - will commence in Autumn 2022.
You are invited to participate in Stage 1 of the research if you are a University of York student (aged 18+) currently enrolled on an Undergraduate degree programme or an Integrated Masters programme (e.g. in Psychology or Social Work).
If you fit these criteria and would like to participate, please read the Participant Information sheet linked below.
