Can you and your friends perform the Twelve Days of Christmas using a collection of unusual digital tools? There's only one way to find out!
To perform The Twelve Days of Christmas as The Augmented Reality Christmas Jumper Orchestra, you need ... A large screen and five people with mobile devices to shake the web app bells, and at least a couple of people with mobile devices to play the AR sound effects with wikitude.
You may also want to print off the AR trigger images at the bottom of the page.
On a couple of mobile devices, install Wikitude, and search for "Twelve Days of Christmas at the University of York"
...and choose which colour you are going to play by tapping the bell. When you shake your device it will play that phrase of the song. TURN UP YOUR VOLUME.
In a browser, on a big screen, play, or download, the movie below. It doesn't play any sound. The background colours instruct the bell players, and the jumpers are augmented reality image triggers for the people with the Wikitude app... You have to be quick though.
You can print off these trigger images and make them into gift tags, or wrapping paper, or baubles, then point Wikitude at them. Use File > Make a copy if you want to do something fancier.
