Unit 2 week 1 Vocabulary Words:
Week 1:
Character - A character is a person, animal, or thing that drives the story forward
Examine - To examine is to investigate, examine, or look very closely at something.
Perspective - A perspective is a particular attitude or point of view.
Narrator - A narrator is a character who recounts the events of a story.
Literary - To be literary means to have something to do with literature.
Week 2:
Abundance - An abundance means a large amount of something.
Investigate - To investigate means to try and find out the facts about something.
Fleeing - If someone is fleeing, it means they are running away from a place.
Pesky - Someone or something that is pesky is annoying or causing trouble.
Week 3:
Accused - The accused is the person charged with a crime or with doing something wrong.
Furious - If you are furious, you are very angry.
Recall - To recall means to remember something.
Trial - A trial is a meeting in a court to decide whether someone is guilty of a crime.
This week in social studies we will learn about the great state of Florida! Ask your scholar about any fun facts they may have learned.
Ex. our state animal or bird.
This week we are working with regrouping/decomposing to help us solve multi-digit additon and subtraction.
This week we are learning about the sun.
