Unit 2 week 1 Vocabulary Words:
Week 1:
Civic Duty - A responsibility that citizens have.
Equal - Something that has the same value as something else.
Equality - To have the same rights or status as others.
Participate - When you participate you are involved in something with others.
Responsibility - Something you do because you feel it is the right thing to do.
Week 2:
Protest: A protest is a way people publicly show they disagree with something.
Register: To register means to put your name on an official list to do something.
Rights: Rights are things people are allowed to do or have.
Strike: A strike is when workers stop working to get their employer to agree to something.
This week in social studies we will continue to learn about the 50 states alongside "our government" we'll be exploring the structure of our government.
This week we are working with regrouping/decomposing to help us solve multi-digit additon and subtraction.
