CSIT Computing Scholarship 

The scholarship is awarded by CSIT, a leading agency in applied research and product development for MINDEF,  aims to foster interest and develop competencies in Computing among the JC students so as to encourage them to pursue further education and a career in technology.

The award recipient received:

• Annual allowance of $1,000

• Learning allowance of $1,000

• One week experiential journey at CSIT

Computing@SMU Award 

The Computing@SMU award is supported by SMU's School of Information Systems (SIS), and aims to recognize and motivate graduating JC students to pursue further education and careers in computing. 

The award recipient received:

• Certificate and Cash Prize ($500),

• A reserved seat in SMU SIS's advanced placement programme course, and

• Priority in the admission process to SMU's SIS's degree programmes.

"I'm happy with my results, and is was within my expectations ... I worked really hard," said Mr Joshua Ng, who has high-funtioning autism.

Joshua hopes to pursue further studies related to computing or data science, said: “I’ve found computers fascinating since primary school.”

He took technology-related courses in Pathlight School and later studied computing as an H2 subject in JC.
