Course Overview

Course Structure
Unit 1 - Exam
One written examination in May of year 10; 1 hour 30 mins
Worth 40% of GCSE qualification
Question types include multiple choice, data response, short and extended answers.

Unit 2 -NEA Adult Care
Non examined assessment 12 hours in length
Worth 30% of GCSE qualification
An assessment based on a choice of two case studies on adult health and social care.

Professionals working in health and social care sector
Health campaigns and screening programmes
Unit 3 -NEA Childcare
Non examined assessment 12 hours in length
Worth 30% of GCSE qualification
An assessment based on a case study on childcare.
