The York United Black Students’ Alliance (YUBSA) was formed in 1996 as an amalgamation of the African Student’s Association, the Caribbean Student’s Association and the Black Caucus Association. YUBSA is an organization that represents the principles and tenets of Pan-Africanism of which the significance is the unification of Black peoples into an autonomous political, economic, and social world order. YUBSA’s mission embodies a mandate to build progressive programs and institute policies for Black students and community members that suffer under the auspices of racial discrimination in the form of institutionalized racism.
YUBSA is structured by 7 directors who collectively represent the Alliance in its various functions.
