American Vision Nominee's 2026
Thank you to our 2026 Judges
Long time Alaskan sculptor, public art awardee, arts advocate and former gallery owner. My true love and avocation has always been working with wildlife, living in nature, and extensive world travel. My family consists of several generations of educators who instilled the importance of providing students the encouragement and the freedom to explore their curiosity, creative talents and subjects of particular interest under the umbrella of education during their formative years and continued throughout high level university degrees. It’s an honor to be included in this panel of Scholastic Art judges for the Anchorage School District.
Assistant Professor of Art Education at the University of Northern Colorado and former K-12 art educator. My current research interests include the history and origins of Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB), where I have worked to establish where TAB has come from as a way to provide a foundation for future TAB research. I currently service at the National Art Education Association Pacific Region Vice President and co-host of the TAB Storytellers podcast. Beyond the classroom and art education, I love to road trip, paddle board, work on my house, and spend time with my two amazing kids, and three dogs.
I am an artist and art educator in the Pacific Northwest. With a master's degree in both Art Education and Social Emotional Learning and Leadership. I have been a committed art educator for over 15 years and has been exploring the world of whimsical robots in her personal work. Mandy believes art is the perfect way to connect us all and spread joy.
