Jay Braxton serves as the 2024 Interim President for the Young Democrats of Louisiana and a driven advocate for civic engagement. He is a student at Louisiana State University, where he is pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business Administration, Communication Studies, and Leadership Development. Jay has a well-rounded background in leadership, communications, and operations management. His experience includes serving as a Student Senator for the LSU Student Senate and working as a congressional intern for Congressman Garrett Graves, where he gained insight into legislative processes and policy development.

In addition to his political and academic experience, Jay has a strong track record in operations and logistics. He worked as a Strategic Operations Specialist and Logistics Coordinator, where he optimized processes and enhanced business operations. His expertise also extends to public relations, social media management, and event planning, which he has honed through various leadership roles. Jay is committed to leveraging his diverse skill set to amplify the Young Democrats' mission and inspire the next generation of leaders.
