Chiayi County Yung Ching Senior High School

Chiayi County Yung Ching Senior High School (YCSH), located in Taibow City, Chiayi county, is a comprehensive high school. From 7th to 12th grade, each grade consists of 6 classes, with the student population of up to 1,000. Besides, these surroundings of YCSH include Chiayi County Government, HSR station, Chang Gung University of Science and Technology, and National Palace Museum South Branch.  

VISION

We aim to implement the school's vision of "global perspective", "local care", and "innovative foresight". We cultivate the qualities of "arts and humanities", enhance our knowledge of "life sciences", and encourage learning in "innovative interdisciplinary" technologies. These are the three major characteristics of our development, with student-centered learning as our focus. We strive to fulfill the potential of every child and cultivate "quality talents for Chiayi County Yung Ching Senior High School" that are competitive globally, with expertise in technology, humanities, innovation, and interdisciplinary studies. 

MISSION

Our mission is stated as follows:

1. Our school adopts the six-year unified principle for secondary education, and our curriculum planning emphasizes coherence and integration. In response to the implementation of the 12-year national education policy, we focus on vertical integration between junior and senior high school, and horizontal integration between subjects.

2. Cultivating the "BIG SIX" Abilities in Students
   Adhering to the core idea of whole-person education, the "BIG SIX" abilities at Chiayi County Yung Ching Senior High School focus on promoting health and character as the foundation. Based on a healthy mind, body, and spirit, we ignite students' learning and collaborative abilities, deepen their cultural competence, and expand their foresight, enabling them to develop as whole persons.

3. Cultivating Global Elite Talents with a Macro Perspective

4. Combining local community resources, our school's curriculum planning is designed to integrate resources from county government schools, the National Palace Museum Southern Branch, and the Chang Gung Medical Zone in the county. In addition to complying with the Ministry of Education's curriculum requirements, we also plan to develop our own school-based curricula with unique characteristics.
