After-School AVA Support is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00–5:00 pm for AVA students who need extra help with their classes. Tutoring is by appointment only—please email Ms. McGee the day before to set up a time to attend after-school support.
The AVA Multilingual Support Class provides extra help for students who are learning English or who need assistance understanding coursework in multiple languages. This in-person class meets at 1:25 PM during 6th hour at Ypsilanti Community High School, taught by Mary Alampi & Caroline Wojan. Students receive support with reading, writing, speaking, and understanding their APEX classes.

✅Test-Out Criteria:
To qualify for a test out, a student must:
Complete at least 50% of the APEX course
(Progress must be visible and up to date.)
Be a Senior
or have administrative approval if not yet senior status.
Have good attendance standing
– at least 3+ weeks of verified weekly check-ins.
Be recommended/verified by the teacher
based on academic performance, quiz/test data, and readiness.
Schedule test-out in advance
using the official request form or by contacting Ms. McGee.
Take the exam in person
– all test-outs must be proctored onsite at ACCE (no at-home test-outs).
Pass with a score of 77% (C+) or higher
– earns a “P” (Pass) on the transcript, not included in GPA.
