As we enter into Spring, we can expect to see so much new growth. We will see it in the world around us as flowers begin to bloom, trees burst with life, birds sing their song, and the sun shines brightly.
In school, Spring brings many of the same signs of growth. Students demonstrate their understanding of concepts practiced throughout the school year and begin to prepare for their transition into summer and the next grade.
In 5th grade, we work to prepare students for the transition to middle to school by asking them to consistently reflect on their skills, behaviors, and habits. By the time we make it to May, students have spent a little over a month completing state testing. What better way to celebrate their growth and raise money for their end of year celebrations than to have a party!
Please join us at the Erickson Block Party for fun games, prizes, food, live music, and more! Booths will include: ring toss, giant yard games, potato sack races, face painting, pickle ball, and so much more!
