Math Prep
A course in Mathematics designed to help students develop basic math skills for use in employment or higher education. The ultimate goal for students is to acquire fundamental math skills to be successful in Adult Secondary Educations (ASE).
English Language Arts Prep
A course in basic reading comprehension that introduces the student to critical thinking and analysis of written text. As well as focusing on English grammar that is designed to help students develop basic writing skills for use in employment or higher education.

Writing:
Spelling patterns
Mechanics such as punctuation & parts of speech
Sentence Structure & Grammar such as clauses, tenses, & punctuation.
Vocabulary: Idioms, synonyms, antonyms, metaphors, homonyms,
Writing in a variety of formats (narrative, expository, persuasive)
Organizing & Structuring an essay
Reading:
Word Forms: Possessives, Affixes, Abbreviations
Understanding text in multiple Media Formats (Tables, Diagrams, Graphs, etc)
Comprehension: Summarize & analyze text by citing supporting details
Compare and contrast text
Use context clues, affixes, and root words to determine the meaning of unknown vocabulary
Compare & analyze multiple genres
Sentence Structure: Clauses, Verb tenses
