Q: Which math contests do you host?
A: We host the COMC, and all of University of Waterloo's CEMC contests (CSIMC, Pascal/Cayley/Fermat, Fryer/Galois/Hypatia, and Euclid). Students who wish to participate in any other math contests are encouraged to seek an exam centre outside of school.
Q: I have filled out the pre-registration Google form. Does it mean I am registered?
A: No. A contest fee payment must be received BEFORE the due date (and time) to confirm your spot. We DO email payment reminders if we notice you have paid before due date. Make sure you CHECK YOUR @YCDSBK12.CA INBOX regularly!!!
Q: I missed the payment due date, but CMS or Waterloo's website shows a different registration deadline. That means my teacher can still register me, right?
A: We are unable to process registrants after the St. Robert deadline due to the high volume of sign-ups. After we receive your forms and payments, the contest manager takes time to verify student information and contact registrants if clarification is needed. We thank you for your understanding.
Q: How do I prepare for math contests?
A: Math Club runs contest preparation sessions throughout the semester. You can also find sample contests here.
